to the Bernice B. Godine JCC Early Learning Center!
The Newton Center's location at the Leventhal-Sidman JCC offers
students access to a wide range of activities and interactions. Gross
motor activity and swimming lessons are part of some programs.
Developmental screening is provided to all children. We proudly
participate in intergenerational programs with seniors at the Coleman
House. Parents' involvement in building our community and volunteering
in classrooms is valued. Tuition includes membership at the Leventhal-Sidman JCC in
Newton.

NOW ENROLLING INFANTS FOR SPRING 2010
Newly renovated space carefully prepared with needs of infants in mind
- Responsive care and positive relationships create an environment to support your baby’s brain development
- Adherence to highest quality standards set by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)
- Warm, experienced educators meet or exceed licensing ratios of 1:3
- Expert staff includes a Developmental Specialist, Jewish Family Educator and Curriculum Specialist
- Parents are important to JCC Early Learning Centers. Communication includes emails, family website and daily updates.
- Hours: 7:30am-6pm
- Two, three or five day schedules
- Year-round program

Sara Kahana joined the JCC Early Learning Center at Newton in the
Summer of 2005. Sara earned her BA in History, Teaching Certificate
from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and a Masters Degree in Social
work from Boston College. After graduation, Sara continued her
professional development at Simmons College and summer program at UC
Berkeley. Prior to joining the JCC, Sara had worked in Communities
United, Inc., a childcare agency for 17 years holding various
supervisory positions as a director. Sara is responsible for the
center's daily operations. In addition, she is the liaison between the
Early Learning Center and the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center.
Sara is passionate about the preschool community, children and their
families.
