Creating Responsive Classrooms and Relationships
We are proud to offer our parents and children the resources of our Ledgewood Special Needs Resource team, which enables us to provide support to young children with physical or emotional challenges, from separation issues to more complex concerns. The core of the Ledgewood Program is responsiveness. Together with parents and teachers, we cultivate powerful partnerships on behalf of young children and families.

You might see a Ledgewood specialist working with just one child, or with a small group of children in a particular class. Sometimes she provides suggestions to the classroom teacher on how to approach certain behaviors or situations. Often, parents seek out the Ledgewood specialist to ask about parenting issues such as separation, sleep problems, toileting challenges or family stressors. Our staff feels that the Ledgewood program adds incredible depth and richness to the services we can offer to each and every family in the program.
